Hyperbaric chamber therapy: wellness, longevity, and recovery

The three words on every card in this category. Here they mean a repeatable session, a known pressure, and a chamber still in the house years later.

Wellness, longevity, recovery. They travel together on every brochure in this category, usually over a photograph of someone who is not the buyer. Strip the photograph away and a specification is still there.

Wellness, on this desk, is the class of the mild chambers. In the EU and the UK, Solace, Respiro, Vitaeris and Quamvis are supplied as wellness devices. The session is ambient air. The materials are non-toxic. The warranty on the entry pair is five years. None of that is a promise that a chamber adds years to a life.

Longevity, if the word stays, belongs to the object. A chamber still in a house twenty years after it was installed is the version we recognise. So is a club still using the same unit seven seasons later. The bladder is 44 oz urethane. The frame is there so the first inflation is calm. The window is one mould of acrylic, so the seal stays a seal.

Recovery is the use. A parent beside a child in an 81 cm chamber. An athlete who can get in alone. A private hour at home that does not have to be booked across town. The session comes up to 1.3 ATA in about seven minutes and is closed from the inside.

Choose the model from the constraint you actually have: a tight room, a second person, daily duty, or a pressure above 1.3 ATA. The desk quotes one delivered price. The three words are not on the invoice.
